Welcome to mobloc8, the blog that keeps you up to date with the world of mobile location services and E911.

I work for a telecommunications equipment vendor, and wanted to keep myself up to date on developments within my niche of the industry. I did a few web searches, and didn’t really find anything to fit the bill. So I’ve created this web site and intend to link to and comment on all the mobile location news I come across. I’m already doing the reading and research anyway, so why not post my notes online and help other people?

None of the blog entries or links on this site have been paid for, so there’s no bias here. I’ve put up some fairly unintrusive Google AdSense ads to hopefully offset my hosting costs and give me a little return on the time I put in, but I don’t expect to make real money from this.

It’s worth pointing out that I do the research and write this blog in my own time, not for my employer. This isn’t a corporate propaganda blog!
